Planning for Wildlife is a guide to improving wildlife conservation through better open space and recreation plans. It features a comprehensive review of strengths and weaknesses contained in such plans, sources of local information on wildlife and wildlife habitats, and specific recommendations aimied at improving the effectiveness of open space and recreation plans for conserving wildlife and their habitats.Conserving Open Space is a guide to obtaining funding for open space purchase and management. It features information on statute-based programs, competitive grants, and other programs that provide funding or other mechanisms for protecting open space. The guide also contains a list of references and links to other sources of information on grants, open space protection, and stewardship. Updates to Conserving Open Space, and additional funding sources, are identified in Conservation Planning #5.
